Eva Masaki

Leather forest sunglasses

The always classic TAEA frame from Eva Masaki designed in lightweight metal with acetate rims. The namesake of Masaki’s young daughter Taea, the slightly oversized shape is designed to fit a wide range of face shapes. Handmade in Northern Italy with Zeiss lenses.

100% UV protection.

Rim and temple tips hand-wrapped in olive leather. Gradient olive lens with silvery mirror finish. A palette inspired by Masaki’s recent move to a forested setting. Nose pad features subtle Masaki logo in gold. Stainless steel frame with matte gold finish.

Frames are paired with a special leather case made with Japanese designer Miki Nagamine of RAKU, who makes leather shoes out of her shop in San Cristóbal, Mexico. The case is inspired by the moccasin shoe traditional to indigenous cultures in North and Central America, and is cut from vegetable tanned Horween Essex leather. Like Miki’s shoes, the case is designed to “become part of the wearer’s comfortable life and bring a little bit of joy.” Buttery soft structure. Handmade in Mexico.
